5 Reasons Your Amazon Listings Aren't Converting (And How to Fix Them)

By Scott Nguyen · Jun 2, 2025 · 1 min read

You've done the hard work of getting traffic to your Amazon listings. But if your conversion rate is sitting below 10–12%, something on the page itself is killing your sales.

1. Your Main Image Doesn't Stop the Scroll

Your main image is your billboard. Most sellers use a plain product shot on white. Your competitors are investing in lifestyle imagery and infographics that stand out. If your image looks like everyone else's, shoppers scroll past.

2. Your Title Says Nothing

A keyword-heavy title might help you rank but it doesn't help you convert. Lead with your most important benefit, then layer in keywords naturally.

3. Your Bullets List Features, Not Benefits

Features tell. Benefits sell. "Made with 100% cotton" is a feature. "Stays soft after 50 washes" is a benefit. Rewrite every bullet from the buyer's perspective.

4. No A+ Content

If you're brand registered and not using A+ content, you're leaving conversion rate on the table. A+ lets you add comparison charts, lifestyle images, and brand story modules.

5. Your Reviews Are Lagging

Social proof is the silent closer. Enrol in Amazon's Vine program and use the Request a Review button consistently.

The fix: Run a full listing audit against your top three competitors and ask honestly — are we winning or losing each element?
